Another major success for team wiltshire
in the U13 Gold tournament run at the National Badminton Centre in Milton Keynes where Yashica Racharla won U13 girls singles Gold. She was at the top of her game and didnt lose a game through the entire tournament. The finals were tough, she had to play against an opponent who she has lost to the last two times. 3rd time lucky and Yashica was focused and went with a plan. First game was won by Yashica. Second game was a roller coaster where Yashica was 6 points behind in the first half, but was not showing any sign of nervousness. She slowly worked on her strengths and played some long rallies with a not giving up attitude with a couple of dives and recovers. Finally Yashica had a point when she was at 17-20. With all the energy in place started the serve and went up to deuce. with one game in hand and the second game on deuce she was determined to get the next two points and with some great badminton and tidy shots she finally won 22-20, earning a Gold in Gold tournament.
